01. About Bukku

Bukku is a cloud based accounting software & platform that provides an easy-to-use cloud-based accounting software for SME business owners and accountants.

Bukku also provides affordable value-added services such as company incorporation, secretary, bookkeeping / accounting, tax compliance and audit services to SMEs in Malaysia. The services are supported by our professional partners across the country.

Bukku is a 100% Malaysians owned company, started and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Bukku is started by a serial technopreneur who has been in the accounting software industry for over 7 years. The team behind Bukku has close to 20 years experience building customised software solutions for the SMEs in Malaysia & Singapore.

Bukku is started in late 2019.

02. About Subscription

Bukku is a true cloud-based software solution, there’s no need to install any software on your computer. You will only need an up-to-date internet browser (eg. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) on your device and an active Internet connection to access Bukku.

There’s virtually no specific computer / device requirements to use Bukku, any mobile phone / tablet / computer with internet connection will allow you to access and use Bukku.

We do not have a dedicated mobile apps yet. But our web application is fully responsive and works for all major mobile & tablet devices. You can access Bukku by heading to your Bukku URL or https://app.bukku.my/ from your mobile devices.

You can even install / add the Bukku web app on Android devices with the following steps:

  • Click on your Chrome browser’s menu on the top right.
  • Click ‘Add to Home screen’.

Bukku operates as a subscription business model. We collect monthly or yearly subscription fees instead of a large sum of one-time upfront fees. This allows us to be more responsible to your business success in a longer term. All future compliance updates, new features and bug fixes are included at no additional cost as long as you remain subscribed to our services. Technical support is also included in the subscription fees.

We do not provide either on-site or phone support at the moment due to the competitive price tag that we are offering for SMEs.

Technical support is usually provided via Live-Chat or Email.

No, our subscription fees are collected on a monthly or yearly basis, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Unfortunately not. If you cancel the subscription before the expiry date, no refund will be given. However, you will still have access to Bukku until the original expiry date of your subscription.

Yes definitely! You can upgrade / downgrade your plan anytime you wish in your Control Panel. The rate will be pro-rated and it will reflect in your upcoming bill.

Yes sure! You may sign up for a 30-day free trial first with no credit card and questions asked.

Simply head over to https://app.bukku.my/signup to sign up for a 30-day free trial. You’ll only be asked for some basic questions:

  • Email Address (Login ID)
  • Password
  • Bukku URL (The URL to access your company data)

You will need to verify the email address by providing a 4 digit passcode sent to your email, your account will be activated instantly upon providing the correct passcode.

We accept any major debit / credit card issued either locally or overseas. Please ensure that your payment card has online payment capability activated, check with your bank if you are not sure about this.

Our billing is automated and handled by a highly reputable payment processing company Stripe. Your subscription fee will be automatically charged to your card monthly or yearly.

You may cancel your Bukku subscription anytime by heading to your Control Panel:

  • Click on Billing & Subscription.
  • Click Cancel on the top right.

Your data will be preserved for at least 3 months, after which it will be scheduled for deletion. During that 3 months, you will have read-only access to your account to extract any data. We do not usually maintain your data beyond 3 months due to our strict privacy policy.

Yes, the following reports & data can be exported in the format stated below:

  • All reports (pdf and xlsx)
  • Chart of Accounts (xlsx)
  • Products (xlsx)
  • Contacts (xlsx)

03. Getting Started

You may choose to follow our in-app Getting Started to setup your Bukku account. To access Getting Started, simply click on the rocket icon on the top right.

Alternatively, you can head over to our Learn portal where we have prepared articles and videos on various topics to guide you thru how to use Bukku to manage your business’ account.

  • First, head over to our FAQ as your questions might have been asked before.
  • Second, try to look for a relevant article at our Learn portal.
  • Finally, our support team is ready to assist you, simply click on the support button that you find on the bottom left in our Bukku app to chat with one of our friendly agents.
